I have to confess something first, before you read on. There is no compelling story of how and why JTD began.
IT WAS JUST AN IDEA
Honestly, starting JTD was me determining that now was the time to follow a “what if” that I had been holding in my heart for a long time.
I didn’t have a North Star, a five year plan, or even a one year plan. I just wanted to see where it would go if I fully committed to going and using the skills and knowledge I already held in a way that was different.
I wanted to throw off the some day, and think about
What if…..
What if I started a business?
What if I focused on being creative for myself in a way that helped others?
What if I allowed a desire of my heart to come to life?
MAYBE THAT IS YOU TOO
Maybe that is you. Perhaps you have decided to start the business that has been in your heart and mind for days or decades. Let me say, “Congratulations.” We are in the top 6%.

WHEN I AM NOT WORKING
Outside of JTD, when I am not behind the computer, I love spending time with my family, reading books, listening to good music, or playing board games.
It is a huge plus if I can do any of these at my favorite coffee shop.
Oh, and comfort is my love language. One of the advantage of running your own business is you get to where what you want to the office.
I will always choose a pair of old-school stacked Vans or Adidas Gazells over high heels any day.
