Brand sprints and brand in a day sounds amazingly Brand sprints and brand in a day sounds amazingly magical! But, this trend might not get you the results you’re looking for in your business.

It is not uncommon to feel like you are stuck in your business. You know and want to grow. You feel like your marketing and customer connection can improve, but you’re not sure just how.

Many business owners jump to the conclusion that they just need a rebrand. And, the sparkly new thing is to get it done in a day so you can move on.

That assumption can cause you to put out a premium price without seeing premium return.

When it comes to growing your brand and evolving your brand identity you want to make sure you’re addressing more than the visual aspects of your brand.

A rebrand that will match and exceed the return on your investment will include

✏️ conversations to understand the scope of your business needs

✏️ clarifying the actionable goals for your business and the project to reach those goals

✏️ a thorough brand audit and research

✏️ reestablishing your core values, mission, vision and purpose

These conversations take time. They go beyond changing your aesthetic to getting to the root of the problem and finding the best answer.

If you’re considering a rebrand give yourself and your business the gift of time! JTD can help you. DM me LETS TALK today.

Knowing who your ideal client is important as you Knowing who your ideal client is important as you craft your brand identify.

In a brand strategy workshop with a recent client we looked over her ideal customer avatar. This is one of the documents that I help my clients create as we craft their brand identity.

During our discussion she asked what type of coffee drink I thought her ideal client would drink and where that client might vacation 😳. She had spent hours contemplating this because an “expert” had put it on a questionnaire.

There is a lot of what I would call aesthetic that the “experts” put into ideal customer questionnaires. Things like; what type of coffee do they drink, where do they like to vacation, what type of dog would they own?

While these questions are fun to answer. They can hang us up in the weeds. These questions distract from the beneficial information that will support future messaging and marketing decisions.

When thinking of your ideal client it’s important to focus on

✏️ demographics (location, income level)

✏️ psychographics (values, goals, challenges, buying decision factors)

✏️ goals and aspirations

✏️ pain points/frustrations

✏️ buying habits

These are the things that are going to help you understand how to communicate with them and move towards your marketing and growth goals.

Do you have questions about understanding your ideal client? Message me and let’s chat.

Business is far more than the products you sell. Business is far more than the products you sell.

It is the problem you solve and the connections you make with your customers.

It is the value you offer and how you bring that into your niche.

So, your brand has to be more than “just a logo.”

I often find that business owners begin the conversation this way because they are afraid of the investment it requires to go beyond just a logo, both monetarily and emotionally.

Going beyond “just a logo” takes work. It requires you, as the business owner to dig deep into the why, how, who, and more.

It can be scary when you start thinking about focusing on ideal clients rather than general population. It can feel uncertain when you begin to dig into how you’re different from your competitors.

But the investment is worth it. I mean seriously, it brings a greater return!

And, the best part is you don’t have to do it alone. JTD is here to help you go beyond the logo and develop your full brand identity.

I dive into the pool with you to discover your

✏️ ideal client’s needs

✏️ how your brand meets those needs

✏️ develop messaging that speaks to their heart

✏️ place your brand in a way to stand out in your niche

Then we build a visual identity that supports it all. Giving you a full brand identity that will lead you towards the goals you have for your business.

Let’s work together to give you more than just a logo. DM me and I’ll send you the info.

Feeling some beach vibes this morning. The mood Feeling some beach vibes this morning.

The mood boarding process of every project is so much fun.

It is a time to dream and gather visual information and inspiration that will guide the design process.

But, creating mood boards isn’t just about dreaming and creating an aesthetic.

When creating mood boards for my client projects there are some key foundations that always have to be at the forefront.

To effectively help my clients choose a mood board and direction for the project we have to be clear on

✏️ the project goals and vision

✏️ the purpose of the project and the mood board’s role in the project

✏️ how each option will communicate to their audience

Once the board is approved, we can begin to refine, create, and launch with confidence.

If your brand needed a beach vibes which board would you choose? Let me know in the comments.

Ready to relax? This brand identity is all about Ready to relax?

This brand identity is all about relaxation.

Let me know what you think.
I was drawn to design by aesthetics, but my purpos I was drawn to design by aesthetics, but my purpose was to support passion-driven entrepreneurs in growing and marketing their brands.

I loved creating visuals for brands that evoked a strong aesthetic, but I quickly realized that aesthetics were not enough to support the goals and needs of the brands that I worked with.

In talking to these entrepreneurs, I began to realize that they were missing confidence and clarity. They had put great effort into the products and services that they believed in, but they lacked the ability to communicate the life-changing purpose of their brand in a way that resonated with their customers and aligned with their passion.

This is how the JTD strategic process was developed. It was birthed out of a desire to support growth, give confidence, and bring clarity to my clients through collaboration.

It is a strategy designed to get to the heart of your passion, find your brand’s purpose, and dig deep into how to craft that into a meaningful experience that will bring your customers back again and again.

If you are ready to find clarity, communicate your message clearly, and collaborate on an aligned customer experience, DM me and let’s get started.

Do you remember when it was a thing to create your Do you remember when it was a thing to create your own personal soundtrack or pick a theme song for your life?

Part of what made this exercise so appealing to many of us were the memories that the music sparked.

The power of those experiences are what have sustained an iconic brand for 119 years. And there is a thing or two we can learn from looking beyond the humble record player and into the lives of our customers.

In the summer of 1906, the Victor Talking Machine Company introduced Victrola to the American public. Their legacy is as iconic as the much of the music played on their machines.

Before 1906, the phonograph was a large, cumbersome, and the sound quality was low due to a large horn. But that summer, the company introduced Victrola. They were the first phonograph to hide the horn in the cabinet making the machines more portable, compact and stylish. This helped the company become a major player in their market.

Victoria leaned into a purpose beyond the technology they were creating, and sought to enhance the lives of their customers through a musical experience . And, the experience they created was unmatched.

If you want to build a brand that stands the test of time, tap into how your offer can change the lives of your customers. Build this into every part of your brand experience. From your website, to your visuals, your packaging, and your service make it memorable.

As Jami Thornsberry Designs, I work to give you more clarity and confidence in your brand. By collaborating in my strategic process, we create a brand experience that will clearly define your message, resonate with your customers and align with your mission.
