THE INSPIRATION
The inspiration for this visual identity came from the lives and art work of many creative friends who make beautiful art. I wanted to ensure that the wordmark was almost a work of art in it self, but not compete with the beautiful works that it would represent. I wanted it to have a timeless quality with both refinement and a bit of whimsy.
The Logo & Typography
We selected a wordmark for the brand as that provided minimal competition of visual elements when the logo is placed near the artist’s work. The Serif font gives the wordmark a refined, old world quality. The flourishes bring a bit of whimsy.
It was important that we provide several variations as it will be used in a wide variety of both digital and print applications.
The Color Palette
The color palette was carefully chosen to represent the style the artist has developed, and the subjects that the artist focuses on.
